in our office, we have a fun way to celebrate each other's birthday. we each draw a name out of hat and you are then responsible for that person's birthday celebration! the person who drew rosee's name has been out of the office for an extended period of time and wasn't going to be in the office for rosee's birthday. so...deb and i put our head's together and decided we were going to throw rosee's birthday bash!
as you can guess....i offered to be in charge of decorations! ;) i first chose the color scheme...something bright, bold and fun....i used stampin' up!'s melon mambo, tempting turquoise and concord crush. then i chose a stamp set...flower fest (from stampin' up!)...i chose this set because a lot of the flower stamps have a matching punch so it makes it super easy to cut them out! they turned out great together. here is the banner i created...
close ups of the banner...
deb said she would take on the cake duty and we were discussing what else to do...well...rosee loves fruit and i came up with this fun idea....FRUIT KABOBS!
these were so much fun to make! i made the picks to put the fruit on...stamping the image, punching it out and then...of course...had to have a jewel on it! ;) the plan was to cover the white styrofoam, but once the skewers were in the styrofoam, they were so close together, there was no way i was going to be able to cover it up. i had silver packing stuff...kind of like tinsel for a christmas tree...to cover it up. oh well...it was a lot of fun to make!
next...the card...of course!
| Envelope and card |
| i used versamark ink to emboss the flowers that i used on this card...and of course, added some bling! |

we had a great day at the office celebrating rosee! i love how everything turned out. happy birthday rosee!!! i haven't had many projects to do, so this was great! until next time my faithful followers....:)
