long time no see!

sorry it has been awhile...my resolution of trying to post every week is obviously out the window!  but here is a couple things that i did create earlier this year.  i haven't created much recently, but will be posting new cards in the next couple weeks for a stamp camp that i am hosting with my upline sandy!  stay tuned for those cards!

here is a flower arrangement i did in february!  i love this paper and color scheme!  the paper is from sale-a-bration, stampin' up!'s big sale!  :)

and here is the matching card i made to go with it!

i made these for my coworkers for valentines day!  i made the box with a die cut and die cut machine!  the candy nuggets i wrapped with envelope labels that i stamped!  after i stamped them i just stuck it around the nugget...they fit perfectly!

cards will be coming....i promise! :)

flowers and card class!

my first card class for 2012 will be january 19th, this thursday!  thought i better get my tush in gear and figure out what i was going to make.  here are 2 of the 3 cards that everyone will be making.  my card classes are here in cheney.  for $10, you will make 3 handmade cards and get 3 enveloples and have an excuse to come gossip and hang out with some pretty rad girls!  :)

a purple valentines day card!

a second valentines day card....with creative inspiration from rosee...she suggested a little different color scheme...love it!
and...next...are flowers for a very dear family.  my neighbors were over at christmas and wanted flowers for their entry way.  luckily i had my handmade handy dandy color ring with all of stampin' up!'s colors so that we could get the perfect colors picked out.  they haven't seen them yet....so if you are reading, you know who you are...i hope you like them!  they will be in the mail shortly!  ;)

the rose looking ones were a tutorial i bought but then changed it up so it was a little more stephanie style!

i know i know

ok...i know.....it has been forever since i posted....

so now is a new year and ill will promise to post more...my goal...once a week.

i do want to catch you up on all the things i have done in the past 2 1/2 months...time flew by!!!!

one major note.  i had numerous people tell me they couldn't post any comments on the blog because they weren't gmail customers.  so i did start a facebook page for Cards by Stephanie.  search for me and like my page.  im trying to keep that a little more current than this because most everyone has a facebook, and then everyone can comment!  :)

my dream came true in december...i had card orders coming in hot and heavy!  it was a dream come true for me.  i got to do something i LOVE doing while making some money!  i made christmas,  birthday, thank you, and blank cards for my friends and family.  i also learned some new flowers that i am so excited about.  here are some peeks at what i made....

Birthday balloons...i LOVE this card!

black and white flowers i made for a dear family friend

cupcake card!

my second favorite card right now!

i love this paper!
this is just a small sample of what i did.  at one point i had orders totaling more than 50 cards!  :)  again...my dream came true.  and i owe that to all my family and friends who wanted handmade cards and gifts from me.  a girl couldn't ask for anything more.

ok...i lied...i asked reed if i could go to salt lake city this summer for stampin' up!'s annual convention...lets put it this way...he didn't say no, yet!

love steph

Christmas Card Workshop

I hosted my very first workshop 2 weeks ago!  i was very nervous, but excited!  well....aren't you curious as to what we made?

of course, i won't disappoint you...here is what we did! :)

A very different kind of christmas card...which is why i love it!  gold embossing make the tree and "season's greetings" feel really elegant and flashy!

I call this the very traditional christmas color card.  bright red and green scream christmas!

i call this the country christmas color card.  it is a very subdued red and green, but then a little bling doesn't hurt anyone, does it?!?!

This is my modern christmas card....a deep red and deep green, otherwise known as cherry cobbler red and old olive green!

Here is a close up of the tree and the little silver dots i used as "ornaments."  i like the dimension it gives the tree!

and last but not least....my FAVORITE out of the five cards!  a blue snowflake wonderland card with bling!  it has everything i love...blue and bling!

oh, and you can't forget about the inside...and some more sparkle!  a coworker of mine said the silver on the back ground looks like snow falling...love it!
so at the workshop, everyone made 25 cards....5 of each design!  it was a marathon of a day, but everyone said they had a lot of fun, but were definitely tired at the end of the day.  i also provided lunch and a special project...i found online how to stamp on a candle....i know...you are dying to see some pics....ill  post some soon and how we did it.  it was really cool and what a great homemade gift for the holidays!

i now, can't wait for my next workshop!  don't know what it is yet...but there will definitely be more in my future!  happy weekend everyone! :)

Wreaths for The Beth Longwell Foundation silent auction

hey all!

i hope middle of october finds you all well and getting ready for the holiday season that is FAST approaching! :) i love fall!  it is my favorite season!

my cousin beth passed away from lung cancer in 2007 and a foundation was started in her name. every year the foundation holds a silent auction and new this year, a movie screening!  my aunt, beth's mom, was in town over labor day weekend in seattle and asked if i could make something for the auction. i of course said yes!  i had made the wreath for my mom and mother in law (see below) and she saw those and loved them so i suggested a trio of wreaths.  the wreath idea took shape and because the holiday season was fast approaching, i decided on a fall wreath, a holiday wreath and a valentine's day wreath!  here they are for the viewing:

as we speak, the wreaths are on their way to my aunt's house!  the foundation is in novemeber and i can't wait to hear how much the foundation raised this year to support my cousin and what she loved best, education and helping children.  :)  love to my family and beth, forever.

the past month and a half....continued....again

WOW....i look back to what i have done the past month and a half....and im shocked because it doesn't seem like i did anything except go to work and answer student questions!  lol!

my coworker came to me and asked if i would create something for a friend's wedding.  all my coworker said was that something to put pictures in, their house is kinda country and that i had free rein to create something!  so......here is what i came up with......

the big brown spots on the top right and bottom left are for the pictures.  the bottom right spot looks bare right in the photo here, but i put a quote there...it looked nice, i just forgot to take a picture of the completed frame.  :(  It is in a frame i got at half off at hobby lobby!

and the best part.....i got 2 more orders for frames like this for christmas presents!  :)
